Version 2026-08-26.1, last updated 26 August 2026.
⚠️ Draft. Prepared from the product's source code by the people who built it, not by a lawyer, and not yet reviewed by counsel. Governing law and the legal entity are deliberately left blank. See
COUNSEL_REVIEW.md.
1. The three things you must read
Everything else in this document is ordinary. These three are not, and they are first because they matter most.
⛔ 1.1 We are not a visa agency. We never file anything for you.
vdaDocs does not submit applications. It does not fill in forms on your behalf. It does not book appointments, pay fees, courier documents, or communicate with any consulate, embassy, visa application centre or immigration authority on your behalf. We never touch your application.
We have no affiliation with, endorsement by, or authorisation from any government, embassy, consulate, high commission, visa application centre, or any official body of any country. We are not an agent of any of them. If anything in this app or on this site leads you to believe otherwise, that impression is wrong, and please tell us so we can fix the wording.
Every application you make, you make yourself, directly with the authority concerned, through their own official channels. Applying through official channels is free of any vdaDocs charge and always will be. We are not between you and the government, and we do not want to be.
⛔ 1.2 This is not legal advice, and it is not immigration advice.
vdaDocs is an information and organisation tool. Nothing in it is legal advice, immigration advice, or a professional opinion about your case. We are not your lawyer, your immigration adviser, or your representative, and using vdaDocs creates no such relationship.
We do not know your circumstances. We cannot tell you whether you will be granted a visa, whether you are eligible, whether your evidence is sufficient, or what you should do about a refusal. Immigration law changes without notice, is applied differently by different missions, and turns on facts we do not have.
If your situation is complicated (a prior refusal, a criminal record, an overstay, a medical or security issue, a dependant's status, a deadline you cannot miss), consult a qualified immigration lawyer or a licensed adviser in the relevant country. A checklist is not a substitute for advice, and we would rather lose your session than have you rely on us where you should not.
We deliberately do not tell you how long a decision will take. Other tools publish processing-time estimates; we do not, because we do not have data we trust and a wrong procedural estimate causes real harm: a missed booking, a lapsed permit, a non-refundable ticket. Where we do not have something reliable we leave a gap and say so. Please read a gap in vdaDocs as "we do not know", never as "this does not apply to you".
⛔ 1.3 Check the official source. Every time.
vdaDocs cites the official page each requirement was read from, and those citations are there to be used. Where vdaDocs and the official source disagree, the official source is correct and vdaDocs is wrong.
Government requirements, fees, thresholds and forms change constantly and often without announcement. Some figures in vdaDocs are, by their nature, out of date the moment a government moves them. Before you file anything, open the cited official page and check it yourself. That is what the citations are for.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using vdaDocs, you agree to these terms and confirm you have read the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use vdaDocs.
These terms carry a version number. When we publish a materially changed version, we will ask you to read and accept it. Continuing to use the service after that request, without accepting, is not acceptance; we will ask again.
3. What vdaDocs actually gives you
- A catalogue of what named governments ask of an applicant applying from India, organised by destination, route and filing, with the official source cited for each requirement.
- A per-plan checklist and a readiness percentage.
- Reminders counted back from a target date you set.
- An immigration news feed drawn from publishers' and governments' own feeds.
Coverage and origin. The catalogue currently covers applicants applying from India only. If you are applying from anywhere else, the procedural detail here may be materially wrong for you.
Completeness. We do not claim the catalogue is complete or that a route absent from it does not exist. Where a government publishes a category we have not authored, its absence means we have not written it, not that you are ineligible.
4. Accuracy, and its limits
We work hard on accuracy: every requirement is written against what a government or its mission in India publishes, and the overwhelming majority of documents cite the page they were read from.
We nevertheless provide vdaDocs "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Specifically, we do not warrant that:
- any requirement, fee, threshold or form is current or correct today;
- a checklist is exhaustive for your case;
- following vdaDocs will result in a visa being granted;
- the service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- news articles are accurate: they are written by third-party publishers, not by us, and we neither endorse nor verify them.
Your application, your fee, your responsibility. Visa fees are generally non-refundable, and a refusal is generally not appealable. The decision to file, and when, is yours alone.
5. Your account
- You must give a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
- ⚠️ Password reset by email is not operational yet. Until an email provider is configured, a password you have forgotten cannot be reset automatically; contact us instead.
Minors. See §9; this is an open point, not a settled one.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- scrape, bulk-download, crawl or systematically extract the catalogue, the news archive, or any other part of the service;
- resell, sublicense, or republish vdaDocs's content as your own, or use it to run a competing or agency service;
- present yourself as affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for vdaDocs;
- use vdaDocs to advise others professionally in a jurisdiction where doing so requires a licence you do not hold;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or system; probe, scan or test our defences; interfere with the service or overload it;
- upload or transmit malware, or use the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive;
- use automated means to create accounts.
Do not attempt to submit documents or personal application material to us. The product has no mechanism to receive them, and we do not want them.
7. Intellectual property
The vdaDocs software, design, brand, and the structure, selection and arrangement of the catalogue are ours. Official government content quoted or cited remains the property of the issuing authority. News headlines, summaries and images belong to their publishers and are shown under fair-dealing/fair-use principles with attribution and a link to the source.
What you create is yours. Your plans, checklists and bookmarks belong to you. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store and display them back to you, and to sync them between your own devices.
8. Sponsored content and advertising
vdaDocs reserves a slot in the news feed for sponsored content. That slot is currently unsold and shows an empty placeholder. No advertising is served today, and no data is shared with any advertiser.
If we ever sell it:
- sponsored content will always be clearly labelled as sponsored, and never disguised as editorial or as part of the catalogue;
- no advertiser will ever influence what a checklist says. The requirements come from official sources and are not for sale;
- we will never sell your personal data to an advertiser, and we will update the Privacy Policy before, not after, anything changes;
- we will not accept advertising from visa agencies or filing services whose claims we cannot verify; the whole point of this product is that we are not one and have no stake in your filing.
9. Age
⛔ Open point: owner decision required before public launch.
vdaDocs collects a date of birth at signup and uses it to exclude anyone under 18 from marketing contact. It does not currently implement the verifiable parental consent that India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires before processing the data of anyone under 18.
Until the owner decides between blocking under-18 signups and building a parental consent flow, this section cannot state a minimum age honestly. See
COUNSEL_REVIEW.md.
[MINIMUM AGE TERM: TO BE COMPLETED ONCE THE DPDP MINORS STANCE IS DECIDED]
10. Suspension and termination
By you. Delete your account in Settings at any time. It is immediate and permanent; see the Privacy Policy §8 for exactly what is deleted and the two things that are pseudonymised rather than erased.
By us. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack or abuse the service, or where we are legally required to. Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. For anything other than a serious or repeated breach, we will give you an opportunity to export or record your plans first.
We may discontinue the service. If we do, we will give reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your plans.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- vdaDocs is not liable for visa refusals, rejections, delays, or administrative processing, however caused;
- nor for non-refundable fees, tickets, bookings, accommodation, loss of earnings, missed deadlines, or missed opportunities;
- nor for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss;
- nor for the accuracy or availability of any government page, news article, or other third-party content we link to.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months (currently zero; vdaDocs is free) and the minimum the applicable law permits.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India, under mandatory consumer law in the EEA or UK, or under equivalent law where you live.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights. This does not apply to anything caused by us.
13. Governing law and disputes
🔲 OWNER DECISION REQUIRED. PLACEHOLDER, DO NOT PUBLISH AS-IS.
The governing law, the courts with jurisdiction, and any dispute-resolution mechanism depend on where the operating entity is established, which is not yet decided. We have deliberately not invented a jurisdiction here. A governing-law clause naming a country the company is not established in is unenforceable at best and misleading at worst.
Counsel must also advise on whether a chosen forum survives contact with mandatory consumer-protection rules for users in India and in the EEA/UK, which frequently allow a consumer to sue at home whatever the contract says.
Governing law: [TO BE COMPLETED] Jurisdiction: [TO BE COMPLETED]
14. General
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a term once does not waive it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may, on notice, as part of a merger or sale, and your rights under the Privacy Policy travel with you.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the service.
15. Changes to these terms
We will update these terms from time to time. Each version carries a version number and a date, and every change is recorded in the change log below.
For material changes we will ask you to read and accept the new version the next time you open the app or sign in on the web. We will not treat your acceptance of an old version as acceptance of a new one. For minor changes (typos, clarifications that do not change your rights or ours) we will update the version and the change log without interrupting you.

2026-08-26.1 |
2026-08-26 | First draft, written from the source code. Establishes the three lead disclaimers: not an agency and we never file; not legal or immigration advice, including why we publish no processing-time estimates; and check the official source. Records the India-only origin scope, the "as is" accuracy position, acceptable use, account and termination terms, the unsold sponsored slot and the rules that will bind it, and liability limits. Governing law, jurisdiction, entity, contact address and the minimum-age term are left as marked placeholders for owner decision. Not yet reviewed by counsel. |
